PREFIX TITLES
ARBA CH Champion: American Rare Breed Association Title ~
Ch. Champion: American Kennel Club (AKC) Title ~ Dogs must acquire 15 points, including 2
majors won under different judges and at least one point under a third different judge.
CH UKC Champion: United Kennel Club Title ~ To earn a UKC Champion title, a dog must:
1) Earn a minimum of 100 championship points, 2) Earn points under at least three
different UKC licensed Judges, and 3) Win three Best Male/Female (or higher) classes
with competition at three different shows under three different UKC licensed Judges.
UAGI United Agility I: United Kennel Club Title ~ This title must be earned from the A or B sections
of the Agility I class or any combination of the two. To earn this title, a dog must earn three qualifying
scores at three different UKC Licensed agility trials. A qualifying score requires the successful
completion of all obstacles and a score of 170 points or more.
SUFFIX TITLES
AX Excellent Agility: AKC Title ~ The letters AX may be added after a dog's name when it has
earned 3 qualifying scores at the Excellent Agility Level under at least two different Judges.
AXJ Agility Excellent Jumpers: AKC Title ~
CD Companion Dog: AKC Title ~ The letters CD may be added after a dog's name when it has been
certified by 3 different judges to have received qualifying scores in Novice classes at
3 licensed or member obedience trials.
CGC Canine Good Citizen: AKC Title ~ The Canine Good Citizen Program is a two-part program
that stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs. All
dogs who pass the 10-step CGC test may receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club.
FD Flyball Dog: North American Flyball Association (NAFA) Title ~ 20 Points - Each time a
team races in a NAFA sanctioned Flyball tournament, their dogs earn points based on
the following: under 24 seconds: each dog racing in that heat receives 25 points
towards a Flyball title, under 28 seconds: each dog receives 5 points, under 32
seconds: each dog receives 1 point.
FDX Flyball Dog Excellent: NAFA Title ~ 100 points
FDCh Flyball Dog Champion: NAFA Title ~ 500 points
FDCh-S Flyball Dog Champion-Silver: NAFA Title ~ 1,000 points
FDCh-G Flyball Dog Champion-Gold: NAFA Title ~ 2,500 points
FM Flyball Master: NAFA Title ~ 5,000 points
HCT AHBA Title American Herding Breeds Association Herding Capability Test requires two passing
runs under different judges.
HT Herding Tested: AKC Title ~ A dog that has been certified by two different Judges to have
qualified by passing two licensed or member Herding Tests.
NA Novice Agility: AKC Title ~ For a title, dog must earn 3 qualifying scores in Novice A and/or B
Agility class under at least 2 different judges.
NAJ Novice Agility Jumper: AKC ~ For a title, dog must earn 3 qualifying scores in Novice A and/or
B Jumpers With Weaves class under at least 2 different judges.
OA Open Agility: AKC Title ~
OJC Open Jumper: North American Dog Agility Council ~
O-OJC Outstanding Open Jumpers: North American Dog Agility Council ~
O-NAC Outstanding Novice Regular: North American Dog Agility Council ~
RL1 Rally Level 1: Association of Pet Dog Trainers Title ~ A Level 1 course consists of 18- 20
exercises. As in traditional obedience, the dog and handler team enters the ring with
a perfect score of 200 points. The judge follows the team as they proceed through
the Rally course. The judge indicates point deductions on the score sheet as faults
occur on course.
RN AKC Rally Novice: AKC Title ~ The letters RN may be added after a dog's name when it has been
certified by 2 different judges to have received qualifying scores in Novice classes
at 3 licensed or member rally trials.
TA Tracking Dog: AKC Title !~ Dog has been certified by two judges to have passed a licensed or
member club TD test or at a combined TD/TDX test, or at a combined TD/VST test or
a TD/TDX/VST test.
TDI Therapy Dog: Therapy Dogs International Title: All Dogs must be tested and evaluation by
a Certified TDI Evaluator. A dog must be a minimum of one year of age and have a sound
temperament. Each dog must pass the AKC's Canine Good Citizen Test (CGC), and a
temperament evaluation for suitability to become a Therapy Dog.
TT Temperament Tested: American Temperament Test Society, Inc. (ATTS) Title ~ The
ATTS Temperament Test focuses on and measures different aspects of temperament
such as stability, shyness, aggressiveness, and friendliness as well as the dog's instinct
for protectiveness towards its handler and/or self-preservation in the face of a threat.
Dogs must be at least 18 months old to enter this test. Failure on any part of the test
is recognized when a dog shows: Unprovoked aggression, Panic without recovery, Strong
avoidance.
UCD United Obedience Champion: United Kennel Club Title ~ This title must be earned from
the A or B divisions of the Novice class or any combination of the two. To earn this
title, a dog must: 1) Earn three qualifying scores at three different UKC licensed
obedience trials, and 2)The three qualifying scores must be earned under at least two
different UKC licensed obedience Judges.
